Tonight, with the Red Sox looking to clinch their first World Series Cup at Fenway Park since 1918, you might be wondering how many folks will actually bother to watch the Celtics' 2013-2014 season opener.

With a 7:00 start, the Celts game will finish up well before John Lackey even breaks a sweat.  Do you really need to watch four straight hours of baseball?

...You're breaking up four straight hours of Major League Baseball!  Add a dose of hoops to your night and channel surf for the first few innings; it can only decrease the odds of nodding off before the champagne pops and the beer flows (*knock on wood*).

It's Joe Buck & Tim McCarver vs. Mike & Tommy.  Or Max, or Dave Cowens, or whoever – it's a landslide victory for the C's broadcast any which way.

Unlike the misnomer that is the World Series, the Celts game will be an international event!  Show some love for our neighbors neighbours to the north!

It's the start of the Brad Stevens Era!  Who knows?  If all goes well, Brad could end up sticking around as long as Doc did... or as long as Red did... or even longer!  And years from now, you can brag that you were watching the night it all began.
